Finnova participates in the 4th Consortium Meeting of the 5G-DiGITs project in Vilnius
  • Partners advance cooperation on digital skills, innovation and beyond 5G technologies

Vilnius, 8 May 2026 – The partners of the 5G-DiGITs project gathered in Vilnius, Lithuania, on 28 and 29 April 2026 for the project’s 4th Consortium Meeting, hosted at TECHIN Conference Hall and Manufacturing Innovation Valley. The meeting brought together representatives from across the consortium to review progress, coordinate upcoming activities and strengthen collaboration around digital skills and beyond 5G industrial technologies.

Over the course of the two-day meeting, partners discussed the development of education and training pathways linked to digital and green industrial transformation, with a focus on innovation, entrepreneurship and cooperation between industry and academia.

One of the highlights of the meeting was the participation of the Finnova Foundation, represented by Pilar Santamaria, Director of Communication and Public Affairs at Finnova, who presented the project’s communication, dissemination and exploitation activities. During the session, she shared ongoing actions to increase the visibility and impact of the project, as well as future strategies to engage stakeholders from the education, innovation and industrial ecosystems across Europe.

The meeting was also attended by Massimiliano Dragoni, Vice-President of Finnova Foundation for Italy, reinforcing Finnova’s commitment to international cooperation and innovation within the framework of the 5G-DiGITs project.

The consortium also reviewed progress in several areas of the project, including curriculum development, continuous education programmes, entrepreneurship initiatives and knowledge exchange activities. These sessions allowed partners to align priorities and define the next steps for the implementation of the project.

Brokerage Event connects industry, education and innovation stakeholders

As part of the meeting, the second 5G-DiGITs Brokerage Event took place at TECHIN Conference Hall, creating a platform for dialogue on the future of 5G technologies in Lithuania and Europe.

The event included keynote presentations on industrial applications of 5G and private 5G networks, as well as a roundtable discussion entitled “5G in Lithuania: Future Perspectives”. Participants from industry, education, investment and research backgrounds exchanged experiences and explored opportunities for collaboration in the field of advanced digital technologies.

The networking activities reinforced one of the project’s core objectives: strengthening cooperation between education providers, businesses and innovation actors to prepare future talent for the digital transition.
