The goal of the event, which has as one of its main sponsors the renowned Belgian startup Workero, is to promote the digital transformation of the real estate industry.
The final of the Proptech StartUp Europe Awards will take place within the framework of the event, a new category of the StartUp Europe Awards, promoted by the European Commission and implemented by the Finnova Foundation, the EU PropTech House and Workero.
Finnova experts will offer an European funding workshop on the morning of 3 July at PropTech House Breakfast, a networking event for startups, companies and regulators.
Brussels, 28.06.2019. The Le Cenquatre-Paris space will host the MIPIM Proptech EU 2019 on 1 and 2 July, the meeting point where the main decision-makers in real estate and technology will meet with start-ups and cutting-edge technology companies. Under the slogan Matching User Expectations, the main objective of MIPIM PropTech will be to promote the digital transformation of the real estate industry through various events and talks by renowned experts in the sector. Within the framework of the event, sponsored by the Belgian startup Workero, the final of the StartUp Europe Proptech Awards, implemented by the Finnova Foundation together with other organizations, will take place. In addition, Finnova will offer a European funds workshop on the morning of July 3rd at the PropTech House Breakfast, a networking event for startups, companies and regulators.
With more than 1,500 m2 of exhibition space, the most outstanding and innovative companies and startups of the proptech ecosystem will be present during the two days of MIPIM Proptech EU 2019, in which there will also be an important networking area. It is expected that there will be 2,000 participants and around 1,000 companies from 50 countries around the world, in addition to 50 top-level speakers in the sector. This edition will offer a broader focus on the future of the built environment. On the other hand, during the largest Proptech event in the world, the final of the StartUp Europe Proptech Awards will take place. The PropTech StartUp Europe Awards are a new category framed in the StartUp Europe Awards (22 categories), promoted by the European Commission and implemented by the Finnova Foundation, the EU PropTech House and the Worker. It is an award methodology for startups at local, regional and national level, which fosters open innovation and collaboration between different actors of European ecosystems, through public-private partnerships to support new entrepreneurs.
50 European Proptech companies participated in the semi-finals of PropTech on 6 May in Brussels, which competed before the 35 members of a professional jury. Ten finalists from a very strong field of innovative companies were chosen: Be Park, Halio Glass (Belgium), Sensorberg, HomeBeat.Live (Germany), Sensoneo (Slovakia), Realiz3d and CAD42 (France), Mapple (Finland), Swedish Build Safe (Sweden) and Access Green (Ireland). Of the 10 finalists, 1 winner will come out for each subcategory and of these 5 winners, only 1 of them will receive the title of Proptech StartUp Europe Awards 2018 winner. The launch of the first PropTech Startup Europe Awards was a sign of recognition by the European Commission of the importance and enormous potential of PropTech’s innovative industry in the refurbishment of traditional real estate.
Finnova Foundation EU Funding Workshop
The PropTech House Breakfast, the networking event for startups, companies and regulators to be held on July 3 from 08:00, will be attended by CEO of Finnova Juanma Revuelta and EU Project Manager Adrian Noheda. Finnova, one of the organizers of the StartUp Europe Awards and an expert in public financing of innovative projects, will advise startups on European financing, among others, how to proceed to obtain financing from the European Commission of up to 2.5 million euros. In addition, they will report on legal barriers in the European Union, mobility opportunities such as Erasmus for young entrepreneurs, funding opportunities such as open LIFE and advice on how to develop a successful proposal. The event will also be attended by Idriss Goossens and Dirk Paelinck, co-founders of PropTech House.
