Startup Europe After 2 Years – Discover its impact and learn about the future iniciatives
The European Commission Directorate General for Communications Networks, Content & Technology (DG CONNECT) of the European Commission, in support of the initiative of Startup Europe, the event 'Startup Europe After 2 Years - Discover its impact and learn about the future initiatives" will be celebrated on February 2nd in the Hall Ullastres of the REPER of Spain in Brussels. Finnova foundation, partner of the European Commission under the frame of StartUp Europe Awards initiative, collaborates with the event.
The day will try to achieve different objectives such as: discover what is known about the European startup ecosystem, know what has been achieved with Startup Europe projects, understand the progress in startups policies, participate with future projects and plans and connect To the network of European Startup. Startup Europe is an initiative of the European Commission, which is part of its "Digital Single Market" priority. The 4 main objectives of Startup Europe are:
·Connect people, startups, investors, accelerators, entrepreneurs, corporate networks, universities and #EUTechWriters through our network of contacts. It also contains the Startup Europe Map, a map that connects startups within a European ecosystem.
·Connect local ecosystems of startups through 5 Startup Europe projects (Digistart, Ecosystem ePlus, Start Scaleup, Twist Digital and WELCOME) that are developed in cities across Europe. We also support regional initiatives such as Startup Europe Week or Startup Europe Regions Network.
· Helps startups to land in the simplest possible way in other markets such as Silicon Valley (eg SEC2SV: Startup Europe reaches Silicon Valley), India (eg Startup Europe India Summit), Africa (initiative Startup Europe Comes to Africa) United Arab Emirates (coming soon).
· Celebrate the success of entrepreneurs (Techallstars, Europioneeers and StartUp Europe Awards).
The space will be in format conferences and round tables. The event will be attended by more than 200 people, already confirmed 230 people, among which are: responsible for accelerators, bloggers, consultants and policy makers.
