  • The Erasmus+ project trains young people aged 18 to 30 in circular economy skills with just 5 hours per week
  • The programme is based on circular business model modules and supported by a consortium of six entities and sustainability experts

Valencia, October 29, 2025. The CSUSTAIN (Circular & Sustainable Training for Youth Entrepreneurs) project, funded by the  European Union’s Erasmus+ programme  , announces the launch of its first online course: “Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Circular Innovation”. This course is designed to equip future generations of young leaders with the necessary tools to help promote the transition to a greener, more inclusive and digital economy.

This course, which already has 116 students enrolled, is aimed at young people between 18 and 30 years old, including the NEET collective (young people who do not study or work), as well as educators and youth workers who are interested in guiding sustainable innovation processes. The course requires a flexible dedication of only 5 hours per week, so that the participation of young people and educators is facilitated. In terms of accessibility, it will be offered in five languages: Spanish, English, German, Polish and Greek.

It provides students with basic knowledge and practical skills in three key subject areas, which have been identified by educators, young leaders and sustainability practitioners:

  1. Module 1: is related to the fundamentals of sustainable entrepreneurship, ethics and teamwork.
  2. Module 2: is dedicated to circular business models, eco-design and innovation in resources.
  3. Module 3: You will deal with prototyping, design thinking, and presenting circular business projects.

In addition, there is a special train-the-trainer section  that helps youth educators deliver high-impact learning experiences through ready-to-use resources, mentoring strategies and facilitation tools.

Each module is independent from the rest and has the ability to be studied independently and flexibly depending on the student’s interests or professional needs. Upon completion of the training, participants will receive a digital certificate. All material will be published under a Creative Commons license (CC BY-SA 4.0), which guarantees free access and reuse.

The course is supported by an international team of experts in  the field, including Dr.

Piotr Uhma (Poland), Dr. Christos Sokos, Kalliopi Christopoulou and Konstantinos Machairas (Greece), who bring a long track record in sustainability, law, circular innovation and transformative education. The project is led by a group of six entities from different European countries who are experts in sustainability and youth training:

  • Austria: BildungsLAB – Hands&Minds Learning Center
  • Greece: CRADLE SINGLE
  • Polonia: European Institute Foundation
  • Alemania: Promoting the Individuality of Youth in Europe (EUth)
  • Ireland: Roscommon Integrated Development Company
  • Spain: Finnova Foundation

This course offers a great opportunity for young people with ambition to train skills for the future, learn how to implement business solutions for a circular economy and collaborate in the European innovation ecosystem and advance their job opportunities for a labour market in full transformation.
