Brussels, 5 November 2025. The Finnova Foundation took part in the Glocal Pre-Summit on Circular Economy Nova-Next Summit, held at the Hotel Estelar La Fontana in Bogotá. The event brought together representatives from local governments, multilateral organisations, academic institutions, and companies committed to the transition towards more sustainable economic models.
During the summit, Juanma Revuelta, CEO of the Finnova Foundation, moderated Block 3, entitled “Multilateral Financing for Circular Economy and Free Trade Zones”, which took place at 4:55 p.m. local time. The panel featured several international experts, including Massimiliano Dragoni, Senior Policy Officer at the European Commission and External Advisor to the Finnova Foundation, who discussed cooperation mechanisms and multilateral financial instruments designed to foster the circular economy and sustainable development in free trade zones.
The session also highlighted collaboration opportunities between Europe and Latin America, as well as progress towards COP30 in the areas of green innovation, public-private partnerships, and ecological transition.
Finnova’s participation in this international event reaffirmed its role as a platform for connection and knowledge transfer between regions, as well as its ongoing commitment to disseminating European best practices, promoting sustainable financing programmes, and strengthening international cooperation to advance the circular economy.
In the same framework, the Foundation continued to promote the Ibagué Startup Europe Awards (SEUA) 2025, an initiative supported by the European Commission and developed in collaboration with Startup Europe, aimed at identifying innovative solutions in water management, waste treatment, and sustainable construction.
The deadline for applications is 27 February 2026, and the award ceremony will take place from 21 to 23 April 2026 during the Glocal Circular Economy Summit – Nova Next Summit in Ibagué. Winning projects will receive tailored mentoring, training on EU funding opportunities, and international visibility, further strengthening the connection between Europe and Latin America in the field of sustainable innovation.
