Highlighted projects:
Ecoffee is a European initiative focused on boosting the circular economy and sustainability through innovative solutions that give a second life to coffee waste. Its presence at Transfiere reinforces Finnova’s commitment to green entrepreneurship, technological innovation, and promoting projects that contribute to the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
Each year, thousands of tons of coffee grounds end up in landfills, generating methane emissions and wasting high-value resources. To address this challenge, the ECOFFEE European consortium—led by AZTI’s science, Euskovazza’s logistics, FumiHogar’s industrial technology, and Finnova’s innovation expertise—has developed a unique industrial symbiosis and Green Tech model in Europe.
Additionally, Finnova will have stand A3, where other flagship projects will be presented, such as Sociarem, focused on social inclusion and the circular economy, and FU-Tourism, an initiative that promotes sustainable and resilient rural tourism in the face of climate change. Likewise, the LIFE Next Fumigreen project, which promotes sustainable biotechnological solutions in the agricultural sector, will also be part of the exhibition space.
To accompany these presentations, Finnova’s stand will offer visual and outreach materials, including informative flyers and a screen with a carousel of videos featuring information on European projects, funding programs like LIFE, and international innovation opportunities such as the Glocal Summit in Ibagué (Colombia).
With its participation in Transfiere 2026, Finnova strengthens its role as a bridge between innovation, sustainability, and European funding, promoting collaboration between administrations, companies, universities, and entrepreneurs to build a greener and more competitive future.
