Madrid, 8 February 2026. From Thursday 5 to Saturday 7 February 2026, MOMAD Madrid 2026, the leading international event for the textile and fashion sector, took place in Madrid. In this context, the AL-INVEST Verde Moda Sostenible project, coordinated by Fundación Finnova, took part in the event to showcase how sustainability, circular economy principles, and innovation are driving transformation and competitiveness in the fashion and textile industry.
MOMAD brings together fashion companies and professionals from different markets. The event gives visibility to new proposals and highlights key industry trends. In this setting, sustainable fashion plays a central role and continues to gain importance in production, commercialisation, and consumer choices.
AL-INVEST Verde Moda Sostenible is a European Union co-funded projectunder the AL-INVEST Verde programme. Its objective is to strengthen the competitiveness of micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in the textile and fashion sector in Latin America, especially in Colombia and Peru. The project promotes more sustainable, circular, and low-carbon production models and supports the transition towards an industry aligned with international environmental standards.
During MOMAD, Fundación Finnova showed how the project supports Latin American companies through training, technical assistance, certification, innovation, and access to markets. These actions help MSMEs meet environmental and market requirements. The participation also confirmed that sustainable fashion is a real opportunity for growth, internationalisation, and green jobs creation, and that the textile sector is moving in line with the European Green Deal, particularly in emissions reduction and circular economy development.
