C-SUSTAIN is committed to youth to create agents of change to lead the economic and digital transition

  • With €250,000 in funding, C-SUSTAIN trains young people from multicultural backgrounds in entrepreneurship and circular economy for 24 months
  • The celebration of the International Day Against Climate Change underscores the imminent need for individual and global action in the face of global warming

Valencia, October 24, 2025. Today, October 24, is the International Day against Climate Change. This initiative, supported by the UN, is aligned with one of the Sustainable Development Goals, Climate Action. It underscores the urgency of reducing greenhouse gas emissions that have accelerated global warming due to the burning of fossil fuels, land use, and energy and industrial activities.

The effects of global warming are the increase in temperature and sea level, the melting of the Arctic, and the increase in extreme phenomena such as droughts and floods. For this reason, the 2021 UN Intergovernmental Group of Experts urges a substantial and imminent reduction in these emissions.

Beyond institutional agreements, at the individual level, action is encouraged, through the use of renewable energies, the purchase of recyclable or biodegradable products, etc., remembering that all action, no matter how small, is necessary for the health of the planet.

The European project C-SUSTAIN, funded by the Erasmus+ program, is positioned in this line of action and sustainability. With funding of €250,000 and a duration of 24 months, the project follows the objective of empowering young people from multicultural backgrounds to act as agents of change, leading the ecological and digital transition.

C-SUSTAIN offers specialized training in entrepreneurship and the circular economy, based on European reference frameworks such as EntreComp (Entrepreneurial Competence) and GreenComp (Sustainability Competences). This approach promotes the autonomy and creativity of young people, cultivating youth leadership capable of promoting circular economic models in their environment.

The international C-SUSTAIN consortium is made up of six entities from five European countries: Austria (BildungsLAB – Hands&Minds Learning Center), Greece (CRADLE SINGLE), Poland (Fundacja Instytut Europejski), Germany (Förderung der Individualität von Jugend in Europa), Ireland (Roscommon Integrated Development Company) and Spain through the Finnova Foundation, bringing together experiences and commitments in youth training and social entrepreneurship to build a greener, more inclusive and resilient Europe.
