- The Nanjing Innovation Fair will bring together industrial parks, universities, innovation and entrepreneurship organizations, young entrepreneurs, and international cooperation institutions.
- Our presence at this fair confirms our commitment to the internationalization of the initiatives in which we are partners.
12/09/2025, Brussels. From September 16 to 19, the Finnova Foundation will travel to Nanjing (China) to attend the 5th Edition of the Nanjing Innovation Fair. At this event, Juanma Revuelta, CEO of the Foundation, and Juan Viesca, Director of European Funds at the Foundation, will represent the European projects RES4CITY and ONE-BLUE. Their presentation will take place on Wednesday, September 17, during one of the fair’s parallel sessions.
The Nanjing Innovation Fair promotes international business development, explores sourcing opportunities, and provides access to the Chinese market, while also offering opportunities for the representation and distribution of Chinese companies in Europe. In this regard, personalised meetings will be organised between Chinese and European companies to facilitate collaboration and knowledge exchange.
RES4CITY focuses on the decarbonization of cities, employing an innovative educational approach to train the workforce for the green transition. The project has developed pioneering tools, such as the RES4CITY Boost My Skills micro-credential platform, designed to equip professionals with green skills, and the Open Innovation Book, a summary of the RES4CITY Startup Europe Accelerathon initiative for accelerating sustainable ideas.
ONE-BLUE, meanwhile, is dedicated to analysing the impact of emerging pollutants such as microplastics, pharmaceuticals, and industrial compounds on seas and oceans, and how these interact with climate change. The project combines sampling campaigns in different marine regions, mesocosm experiments, innovative detection technologies, and digital tools to support decision-making for authorities and businesses.
By participating in this fair, the Finnova Foundation reaffirms its commitment to the internationalisation of the initiatives in which it is involved. Our presence at this event provides a boost to expand the results of these projects and to seek future entities interested in collaborating with us on European Union–funded projects.
