Towards a green economy model

The first meeting, scheduled for Wednesday, May 6, will focus on training coffee MSMEs and their organizations with innovative and sustainable techniques. During the day, key strategies will be addressed, such as improving coffee drying facilities by promoting the use of renewable and clean energies. In addition, the importance of diversifying coffee plots under an agroforestry system to obtain greater socio-cultural and environmental benefits will be discussed.

Agrotourism as a diversified economic alternative

The second forum, which will take place on Wednesday, May 13, will explore the diversification of the sector. Models will be presented for MSMEs to venture into these areas operating as carbon-negative farms.

Direct impact on producing communities

The project directs its efforts to a target group of 300 coffee SMEs and 06 MSME organizations. Activities are focused on the Peruvian region of Pasco, covering the districts of Oxapampa, Chontabamba, and Villa Rica. With these training sessions, the aim is also to train MSMEs and their organizations to strengthen their commercial management, negotiation techniques, and articulation.

Registration and participation

Both forums are free to access and will be held virtually at 8:30 a.m. (Colombia/Peru Time) and 3:30 p.m. (CEST Spain Time).
