- RuralSilverHubS partners meet to coordinate project progress and next steps
- Collaborative workshops to share experiences and methodologies across regions
Partners of the European project Interreg Sudoe RuralSilverHubS will gather in Limoges (Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France) on Wednesday 21st and Thursday 22nd, January 2026, for a two-day consortium meeting and series of workshops aimed at advancing innovative responses to ageing, depopulation and service accessibility challenges in rural areas.
The meeting will bring together project partners from Spain, France and Portugal, as well as local stakeholders and experts, to review the progress achieved so far and to coordinate the next phases of implementation. RuralSilverHubS is led by the Diputació de Tarragona and co-funded by the Interreg Sudoe Programme of the European Union.
During the two days, participants will take part in collaborative workshops focused on the development of the project’s key actions, particularly the RS-Labs (Social and Digital Innovation Laboratories in Depopulated Rural Environments). These laboratories are conceived as spaces for co-creation where local actors and the population aged 55 and over work together to design entrepreneurial and innovative solutions tailored to rural contexts.
Focus on innovation and co-creation in rural territories
A key element of the meeting will be the exchange of experiences among the project’s pilot territories, Tarragona and Burgos (Spain), Nouvelle-Aquitaine and Occitanie (France), and Algarve and Ave (Portugal), allowing partners to identify common challenges, share good practices and align methodologies at transnational level.
By strengthening transnational cooperation and stakeholder engagement, the Limoges meeting will represent an important milestone for RuralSilverHubS, reinforcing its commitment to developing innovative, inclusive and sustainable solutions that improve quality of life for the silver population and contribute to the revitalisation of rural areas in the Sudoe space.
