The C-SUSTAIN project promotes the circular economy in Ireland during the European Week for Waste Reduction

  • Waste prevention as a key element to boost the circular economy in C-SUSTAIN training
  • Definition of makeathon pilots to integrate entrepreneurial and environmental skills

Valencia, November 2025.
The C-SUSTAIN project, funded by the Erasmus+ programme, will hold its next consortium meeting on 25 and 26 November in Carrick-on-Shannon, Ireland. The event will bring together project partners with the aim of advancing the development of youth sustainability skills and strengthening the circular approach within training activities.

This meeting takes place within the framework of the European Week for Waste Reduction (EWWR), an initiative that promotes the sustainable management of resources. The campaign, coordinated at European level by organizations such as ACR+ (Association of Cities and Regions for Sustainable Resource Management) and supported by public authorities, invites citizens, schools, companies, and NGOs each year to organize awareness-raising actions focused on reducing, reusing, and recycling materials.

The 2025 edition, held from 22 to 30 November, focuses on waste from electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE). In line with this theme, the meeting’s agenda will raise awareness among partner organizations and participants about the importance of waste prevention as a key element for the transition towards a more sustainable and circular economy.
