European funds and sustainable innovation will be the focus of the debate on 28, 29 and 30 October in Malaga
Brussels, 27 October 2025 – The Finnova Foundation will play a leading role in Expo Agritech 2025, a relevant event for agricultural innovation in Europe that takes place at the Malaga Trade Fair and Congress Centre (FYCMA). In this edition, Juanma Revuelta, CEO of Finnova, will be the moderator and keynote speaker of a strategic round table on European financing for the agricultural sector. This will consolidate the foundation’s role as a driving force for rural entrepreneurship, sustainability and digitalisation.
The Finnova Foundation will participate in the event with different strategic interventions focused on European funding opportunities and the presentation of ecological solutions.
On Tuesday, October 28, from 1:15 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., the session “Agritech Startup Europe Accelerator: EU Funds, Innovation and Internationalization LATAM” will take place at the Startup Forum – Agritech Startup Theatre by Deutz Fahr. The intervention will detail the main opportunities and funding programmes of the European Union for the period 2025-2030, specifically aimed at SMEs and startups. Real examples of LIFE projects and cases of innovation in circular economy and digitalization will be presented, highlighting the options for internationalization and expansion into Latin America (LATAM).
On Thursday, October 30, from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., the presentation of the European project LIFE NextFUMIGREEN will take place at the ACENTA stand. Led by FumiHogar and with the participation of partners such as Finnova, this innovative project develops completely natural fumigants, based on plant extracts, designed to effectively control pests and fungi in greenhouses. LIFE NextFUMIGREEN has a total budget of €2.76 million, of which 60% is funded through the European Union’s LIFE programme.
On the same day, from 4:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., the round table entitled: “The circular economy brings extra benefits to farmers” will be held. The debate will take place at the Sustainability and Climate Forum – Auditorium Junta de Andalucía. The session will be moderated by Juanma Revuelta and will feature speakers from IFAPA and the San Isidro Cooperative.
