The project, funded by Erasmus+, offers free and multilingual training for young people and educators
Six entities from five European countries join forces to equip youth with entrepreneurial, digital and sustainable skills
Valencia, 26 September 2025. – The European project C-SUSTAIN (Circular & Sustainable Training for Youth Entrepreneurs) announces the launch of its first online course, entitled “Sustainable Entrepreneurship and Circular Innovation”, which will begin on 1 October 2025. This initiative is part of the actions carried out under the project funded by the Erasmus+ Programme of the European Union, with the aim of preparing the next generation of young leaders to drive the transition towards a greener, more inclusive and digital economy.
A practical and accessible course for young people and educators
The course, available in Spanish, English, German, Polish and Greek, is designed for young people aged 18 to 30 —including those currently not in education, employment or training (NEETs)— as well as for educators and youth workers interested in guiding sustainable innovation processes. With a flexible workload of 5 hours per week, participants will be able to explore three core modules and a train-the-trainer section.
Key contents include:
- Module 1: Fundamentals of sustainable entrepreneurship, ethics and teamwork.
- Module 2: Circular business models, eco-design and resource innovation.
- Module 3: Prototyping, design thinking and pitching circular ideas.
- Train-the-trainer section: pedagogical resources and tools for youth educators.
Upon completion, students will receive a digital certificate attesting to their participation and acquired competences. All materials are published under a Creative Commons license (CC BY-SA 4.0), ensuring open access and reusability.
The course will be guided by an international team of experts, including Dr. Piotr Uhma (Poland), Dr. Christos Sokos (Greece), Kalliopi Christopoulou (Greece) and Konstantinos Machairas (Greece), who bring expertise in international law, sustainability, circular innovation and transformative education.
A European project serving youth sustainability
C-SUSTAIN is a 24-month project with a budget of €250,000 funded by Erasmus+. Its purpose is to promote youth entrepreneurship as a driver of social inclusion and sustainable transformation, drawing on European frameworks such as EntreComp, GreenComp and Life-Long Learning.
The consortium brings together six organisations with extensive experience in sustainability, innovation and youth training:
- BildungsLAB – Hands&Minds Learning Center (Austria, coordinator)
- CRADLE SINGLE (Greece)
- Fundacja Instytut Europejski (Poland)
- Förderung der Individualität von Jugend in Europa (EUth) (Germany)
- Roscommon Integrated Development Company (Ireland)
- Finnova Foundation (Spain)
Youth as key players in the green and digital transition
In a context marked by climate crisis and accelerated digitalisation, C-SUSTAIN recognises young people as indispensable agents of change. This course aims not only to ensure that youth understand the principles of sustainability, but also to enable them to turn those principles into real projects with community impact.
