Brussels, May 9, 2025 – On the 75th anniversary of the Schuman Declaration, widely regarded as the beginning of the European integration process, the Finnova Foundation proudly joins the celebration of Europe Day, reaffirming its dedication to building a united, innovative, and sustainable Europe. This symbolic date not only commemorates the start of European integration, but also reminds us that Europe is shaped every day by the people, projects, and partnerships that drive collective progress.
For fifteen years, Finnova has played a key role in promoting interregional and international cooperation, connecting public and private stakeholders with EU funding opportunities to foster entrepreneurship, innovation, and sustainability.
As of today, the Foundation actively participates in 28 European projects addressing major social and environmental challenges—from water management and clean energy to digital transformation, circular economy, sustainable tourism, and gender equality—contributing to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the European Green Deal. These projects are part of various European programmes such as LIFE, Interreg Poctep, Erasmus+, and SMP.
Empowering the Next Generation of Europeans
A strong Europe is built by empowering its youth. Finnova has trained over 550 young professionals in European affairs through its offices in Brussels and Spain, thanks to programmes like GENIUS (Tarragona Provincial Council), TALENTIUM (Jaén Provincial Council), Talent Factory, and Erasmus for Young Entrepreneurs. Through the NextTalentGeneration platform, Finnova connects young people with real employment and training opportunities across Europe.
