The first stage of the Finnova Foundation’s international tour ends in Istanbul, opening up new opportunities for collaboration in the Mediterranean arc.

• The Finnova Foundation has participated in several international conferences in Turkey presenting some of its innovative projects.

• Finnova’s tour will continue next week in Bali (Indonesia), with its attendance to the 10th World Water Forum

Brussels, 17 May 2024 – The Finnova Foundation has concluded its series of events in Istanbul, where it presented its initiatives in European funding for sustainable projects and established important contacts with local companies, confirming its position as a leader in the field of sustainability.

On Wednesday 15 May, Finnova gave a presentation on green financing mechanisms as part of the Green Mediterranean Week, organised by the Union for the Mediterranean and the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD). This space allowed to discuss collaborative financing for sustainability and resilience in the Mediterranean, with a focus on local impact and leveraging key initiatives for regional collaboration. During these events, Finnova presented the LIFE COSTAdapta, LIFE ECOdigestion 2.0, RES4CITY and ONE-BLUE projects as examples of consortia working on proposals for better water protection and management and posing challenges for the acceleration of innovative ideas.

On Thursday 16th May, Finnova participated as a guest company in the “New Mediterranean Partnership Istambul/Alicante”, a Spanish-Turkish business meeting organised by Casa Mediterráneo and the Spanish Embassy in Turkey. The meeting sought to strengthen business relations between Spain and Turkey, providing a platform for leading companies from both countries to discover new opportunities for investment and business cooperation in sectors such as defense, construction, health, logistics, finance, renewable energy, agriculture, water management, automotive and technology, among others. This event has allowed the invited Spanish companies to learn first-hand about investment opportunities and business cooperation in Turkey, a territory that the foundation already knows well thanks to its participation in the Smart and Digital Agriculture project, led by the Provincial Directorate of National Education of Eskişehir (Turkey) and with the collaboration of four other Turkish partners.

Finnova’s tour will continue next week in Bali (Indonesia), where the Foundation will attend the 10th World Water Forum, continuing its mission to promote and support sustainable projects at international level.
