At Transfiere 2025, Finnova will highlight several significant initiatives. Among them is the FU-TOURISM program, an acceleration project funded with €4 million by the European Commission through the Single Market Programme (SMP-COSME). This initiative aims to support tourism SMEs with funding, training, and mentoring, promoting sustainability and digitalization in the sector.
Additionally, the Interreg NEXT MED program will be showcased. With a total budget of €83.7 million, this program funds innovative solutions in energy efficiency, circular economy, and SME decarbonization in the Mediterranean region, fostering cooperation among 15 participating countries. The program offers up to €3.5 million for green transition projects for a climate-resilient Mediterranean, with proposals accepted until April 15.
Finnova will also highlight cooperation with the UK in the framework of Horizon Europe-funded projects, such as ONE-BLUE, which focuses on marine biodiversity with a budget of €6.2 million, and RES4CITY, which promotes renewable energy in urban environments with €2.5 million, offering sustainability training.
Another key project present at Transfiere 2025 is LIFE NextFUMIGREEN, funded mainly by the LIFE program with €2.75 million. This initiative aims to develop biopesticides for sustainable agriculture in greenhouse crops, improving food security and reducing environmental impact.
Additionally, the 5G-DiGITs project, with a budget of €1.7 million and launched on November 1, 2024, will be introduced. This project addresses the challenges of advancing 5G technologies, promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and knowledge exchange among universities, vocational training providers, and industry partners. Its goal is to train a skilled workforce that drives Europe’s digital and green transitions, ensuring that 5G technologies contribute to sustainable development.
Finnova’s participation in Transfiere 2025 represents a great opportunity to establish new partnerships, share knowledge, and continue driving innovation in Europe. The foundation invites all actors from the entrepreneurial, technological, and tourism ecosystems to join this key event for the future of knowledge transfer.
