  • The Finnova Foundation organized an event for 27 young people from Jaén, in collaboration with the Provincial Council, aimed at enhancing their training and employability in European institutions.
  • Participants received training in European project management and have access to scholarships, networking activities, and institutional visits, all geared towards boosting their professional futures within Europe.

Brussels, April 14, 2025On Thursday, March 27, the Finnova Foundation hosted a gathering at its Brussels offices for the 27 young beneficiaries of the Talentium Jaén 2024/2025 international mobility program. This initiative, driven by Finnova in conjunction with the Provincial Council of Jaén, aims to promote training and employability among young graduates from the province within European institutions and entities.

Lourdes Martínez, the Deputy for European Funds and Geolit, accompanied the participants during this work session as part of their professional stay in the Belgian capital. Over five months, these young people will gain experience in European project management, cooperation networks, and community policies, with the goal of improving their access to the job market and enhancing their professional and personal growth.

As part of the program, the young people attended a presentation led by various members of our Finnova team, who presented various European projects currently underway at the organization that may be of interest for their professional development. The day began with an institutional welcome from the CEO of the Finnova Foundation, Juanma Revuelta, who emphasized the importance of such programs for retaining and bringing back talent, as well as for promoting youth entrepreneurship linked to European funds.

The Talentium Jaén program, operational since 2016, awards €7,500 scholarships per participant and has so far represented an investment of €1.4 million by the Provincial Council.

In addition to the professional stay, the program includes prior orientation in intercultural, linguistic, and European competencies, ongoing training during mobility, accreditation of experience through the Europass format, and institutional visits to entities such as the European Parliament or the Council of the EU. Participants also attend conferences and networking events to expand their professional contacts.

During the session held at our headquarters, key topics related to leveraging European funds, youth employability, and entrepreneurship opportunities within the European Union were discussed. Finnova highlighted the importance of such initiatives in promoting talent return to regions like Jaén and encouraged young people to continue exploring avenues of innovation and European cooperation.

The call for applications for the 2025/2026 edition of the Talentium Jaén program will open in April, offering a new opportunity for more young people from Jaén to advance their careers in Brussels.
