StartUp Europe Awards is an initiative promoted by the European Commission and implemented by Finnova in collaboration with StartUp Europe, an initiative by the European Commission aiming at increase the business ecosystem existing in Europe, and the Committee of the Regions. This action aims at increasing the Entrepreneurship Activity Rate in the EU, which currently reaches 8%, according to Eurostat.
Following this massive goal, StartUp Europe Awards aims at recognising the hard work carried out by startups led by Europeans and based in every region of Asia, Europe, Latin America, United States of America, Israel and United Arab Emirates, in five levels (local, county, regional national and European) in eight topics (Creative, Cities, Energy, Green, Social, Tourism, ICTs and Water).
Another main objective of these awards is the creation of a StartUp Europe Awards Alliance gathering all the organisers of StartUp Awards around Europe, providing them with a European scope and thus increasing their international impact.
To do that, however, we do need a lot of people. So, if you are specialized in areas such as Communication and dissemination, legal and financial issues, IT platforms, organisation of events, or you are just interested in startups, and you want to be part of this huge adventure, don’t hesitate and contact us.
