GAMCO, startup ganadora de Pasarela COFARES ha sido reconocida como la ganadora de StartUp Europe Awards 2017 España en la categoría Salud, y por este motivo, tendrá la oportunidad de representar a dicho país en la final europea de este prestigioso concurso que se realizará en 2018 en Bruselas. StartUp Europe Awards es una iniciativa de la Comisión Europea junto con la Fundación Finnova, que presenta una metodología para fomentar la innovación abierta y la colaboración entre los diferentes actores del ecosistema emprendedor. “Además, pretende acelerar a las startups con fondos de la Unión Europea, (Instrumento Pyme hasta 2.5 millones de euros), además de ofrecer asesoría legal, networking, comunicación internacional, entre otros beneficios” afirma Juanma Revuelta, director general de Finnova. StartUp Europe Awards es también una herramienta para mejorar la sensibilización y la comunicación de los valores del emprendimiento.
The Heroes Club y COFARES se adhieren así a la Alianza de StartUp Europe Awards, la cual reúne a los organizadores de premios de emprendimiento y startups (aceleradoras, incubadoras, universidades, fundaciones, asociaciones de inversores, etc.) de toda Europa y más allá, siendo un foro para el intercambio de buenas prácticas entre todos los actores involucrados en el ecosistema europeo.
La convocatoria, que se abrió en abril ha tenido seis finalistas (GAMCO, EXOVITE, INNEVA FARMA, SMART MONEY, C2C y CITYBOX). GAMCO, el ganador de esta edición, recibirá un premio de 10.000 euros. Esta startup, pionera en la creación pionera de Soluciones Software basadas en modelos predictivos, obtenidos a partir de la Inteligencia Artificial y el Aprendizaje Automático. La tecnología de GAMCO permite el despliegue rápido de los Sistemas de Conocimiento, entrenados para cada negocio, con el fin de resolver y optimizar las operaciones y decisiones. Exovite, el segundo proyecto mejor valorado, tiene como objetivo la optimización de los recursos en los tratamientos médicos, mejorando la calidad de los doctores y pacientes, recibirá un premio valorado en 3.000 euros.
El ganador de la categoría Salud en los StartUp Europe Awards 2016 en España fue Ekuore, startup creadora del primer fonendoscopio electrónico inteligente que permite registrar la auscultación y facilitar el diagnostico al poderse compartir fácilmente con otros profesionales. Ekuore fue reconocida por la Comisión Europea con el instrumento Pyme Fase I (dotado con 50.000€) con el apoyo de la Fundación Finnova. Ekuore además recibió un premio extraordinario en la final europea de 2016 por su alto puntaje en la valoración del jurado, que eligió como ganadora a la italiana NeuroGuard“

GAMCO, the winner of the initiative Pasarela COFARES, has been recognized as the winner of StartUp Europe Awards 2017 Spain, in the category of e-Health. For this reason, GAMCO will have the opportunity to represent Spain in the European final of this prestigious contest that will be held in Brussels at 2018.
StartUp Europe Awards is an initiative of the European Commission, together with Finnova Foundation, which presents a methodology to encourage open innovation and collaboration between the different actors of the entrepreneurial ecosystem. “In addition, it aims to accelerate startups with funds from the European Union (SME instrument up to 2.5 million euros), as well as offering legal advice, networking, international communication, among other benefits”, states Juanma Revuelta, General director for Finnova. StartUp Europe Awards is also a tool to improve the awareness and communication of entrepreneurship values.
The Heroes Club and COFARES join the StartUp Europe Awards Alliance, which brings together organizers of entrepreneurial awards (accelerators, incubators, universities, foundations, investor, associations, etc.) and startups from all over Europe and beyond, being a forum for the exchange of good practices between all the actors involved in the European ecosystem.
The call of Pasarela COFARES, which opened in April, has had six finalists (GAMCO, EXOVITE, INNEVA FARMA, SMART MONEY, C2C and CITYBOX). GAMCO, the winner of this edition, will receive a prize of 10.000 euros. This startup is a pioneer in the creation of Software Solution based on predictive models, obtained from Artificial Intelligence and Automatic Learning. Exovite´s, the second project best valuated, has the objective to seek the optimization of resources in medical treatments and improve the quality of life of doctors and patients, it will receive and economic supply of 3.000 euros.
The winner of the Health category at the StartUp Europe Awards 2016 in Spain was Ekuore, who created the first intelligent electronic stethoscope that allows to register the auscultation and facilitate the monitoring of the diagnosis by being able to share easily with other professionals. Ekuore was recognized by the European Commission with the Phase I SME Instrument (endowed with € 50000) with the support of the Finnova Foundation. Ekuore also received an extraordinary prize in the European final of SEUA2016 for its high score in the evaluation of the jury, who chose the Italian NeuronGuard as winner.
