Pablo Barrios, EU Project Officer at Finnova, presented Cultural DeTour, a Creative Europe project that aims to use design-driven innovation and sustainability mainstreaming to boost collaboration and entrepreneurship in the cultural tourism sector, and to create a strong cross-sectoral and transnational innovation network to improve economic resilience during the recovery phase of COVID-19. The project includes an online platform, innovative events and a CDT Boost initiative to help cultural entrepreneurs scale up their activities and improve sustainability through an EU Cultural DeTour accelerator programme.
The project, which involves Finnova Foundation, Envolve and Arctur, aims to provide support in key areas such as sustainability, digitalisation, innovative business models, mentoring and entrepreneurial skills. The partners will act as “thematic experts” through their intervention in live events, participation in the accelerator programme, and contribution of news, articles and videos for communication purposes. The project foresees 6 live events and events to boost cross-sector collaboration and matchmaking.
