Brussels, November 21, 2024 – The Finnova Foundation will take part inExpo Agritech 2024, one of the most influential events in the agrifood sector, held at the Málaga Trade Fair and Congress Center (FYCMA). Over three days, Finnova will showcase disruptive solutions in digitalization, advanced technology, and European funding through projects like LIFE NextFUMIGREEN and INTERREG HIBA+, reaffirming its commitment to sustainability and innovation in the agrifood sector.
Agenda with Strategic Activities
Finnova’s participation will be defined by a strategic agenda designed to maximize its impact on the agrifood sector.
- Elevator Pitch (November 26, 10:30 AM):
An activity aimed at identifying emerging technologies and best practices within the framework of HIBA+. During this session, participants will have one minute to present the innovative features of their projects in front of a camera, creating content and visibility opportunities.
- LIFE NextFUMIGREEN: Development of Natural Fumigants for Greenhouse Pests (November 26, 4:00 PM):
his event will showcase the innovative solutions of LIFE NextFUMIGREEN for the ecological control of pests in greenhouses. Carlos Ramos, Operations Director at FUMI-HOGAR and project leader, will present advances in natural biopesticides. Blanca Sabarit, technician in the Plant Production and Environment area at the Tecnova Technology Center, and José Luis Bustos, CEO of BrioAgro, will analyze air quality in agricultural environments and present the latest project developments. Juan Manuel Revuelta, CEO of FINNOVA, will conclude the event by highlighting how European funding supports sustainable projects.
- B2B Meetings:
Finnova, as a beneficiary of the HIBA+ project, will organize meetings between investors and companies to foster digitalization and scaling opportunities in the agrifood industry. These meetings are designed to promote the exchange of knowledge and resources, driving sector growth.
- European Funding Day for Digitalization and Agrifood Innovation – HIBA+ Project (November 28, 4:00 PM):
During this session, Juan Manuel Revuelta will explore how European funds, through the Interreg program, have driven digitalization and innovation in the agrifood sector in Spain and Portugal. The impact of the HIBA+ project in connecting cross-border innovative ecosystems will be presented as an example.
In addition, Revuelta will serve as the master of ceremonies and presenter on November 27 and 28, highlighting the importance that Finnova places on professionalization, digitalization, and the use of new technologies to drive the growth of agrifood companies.
