01/12/2023, Brussels. On Wednesday, 29 October, the headquarters of the Finnova Foundation in Brussels hosted the VII Next Talent Generation Forum. This seventh edition was attended by 11 female entrepreneurs from Fuerteventura who were in Brussels on the 28th and 29th of November visiting the European institutions and other organisations based in Brussels on the occasion of the 100 Women Plus EU Brussels Visitors Programme held in the framework of the European project 100 Women Plus.

The first intervention was given by María del Carmen Alonso Saavedra, Island Councillor for Accessibility, IT, new technologies, planning and strategic projects of the Fuerteventura Island Council, who explained the objective of the 100 Women Plus EU Brussels Visitors Programme: “to bring European institutions and the functioning of the Union closer to Fuerteventura’s female managers in order to strengthen the female business ecosystem by providing new training and financing channels”.

Afterwards, each of the female managers explained their professional career, their business and their way of contributing value to society. Topics related to emotional well-being, links with people/customers, textile sustainability, circular economy, sustainable tourism, among others, were discussed, where young people also contributed their point of view.
