Dirk Paelinck, director general de Workero, presentó oficialmente los nuevos PropTech Startup Europe Awards 2018 en su discurso de cierre en la reunión de PropTech en Berlín @ Future: PropTech Berlín, el pasado 13 de septiembre de 2018. Con más de 40 oradores de alto nivel y más de 400 participantes de renombre, Future: PropTech Berlin fue la plataforma perfecta para anunciar esta iniciativa.

En casi todos los países europeos una o más empresas PropTech activas estimulan las nuevas startups y scale-ups en el campo de la innovación digital y la transformación disruptiva en el sector inmobiliario. Para llevar la economía PropTech europea al siguiente nivel se necesita avanzar hacia un mercado uniforme, ampliar las colaboraciones transfronterizas y establecer un marco regulador para impulsar la innovación a nivel europeo.

Los PropTech StartUp Europe Awards de la Comisión Europea son la primera iniciativa europea para dar apoyo y visibilidad a las startups más innovadoras en el sector inmobiliario, y le seguirá el 19 de septiembre de 2018 el lanzamiento de EU PropTech House.

Los PropTech StartUp Europe Awardsson una nueva categoría en el marco de los StartUp Europe Awards (22 categorías)promovida por la Comisión Europeae implementada por la Fundación Finnova, que presenta una metodología de premios para startups a nivel local, nacional y regional, que impulsan la innovación abierta y la colaboración entre los diferentes actores de los ecosistemas europeos a través de partenariados público-privados apoyando a nuevos emprendedores. Al mismo tiempo se crea una red de contactos que proporciona visibilidad a todas las startups locales que, mediante el uso de esta red, podrán ampliar sus servicios y productos a escala europea e incluso global. Por su parte, Finnova es una fundación europea con sedes en Bélgica, Rumania, Panamá, Chile y México, dedicada a la promoción de startups y de iniciativas innovadoras para la colaboración entre entidades públicas y privadas apoyándose en las herramientas que ofrece la Unión Europea.

 “Finnova, a través de Startup Europe Accelerator, está dispuesta a proporcionar información y orientación a las startups que aporten innovaciones disruptivas en el campo PropTech así como a los usuarios potenciales de dicha innovación, como grandes empresas, el sector inmobiliario o el sector público que busca innovar en su gestión para reducir costes y mejorar su competitividad” indica el profesor Juanma Revuelta, director de la Fundación Finnova.

Los PropTech StartUp Europe Awards 2018constarán de 5 subcategorías: Invest, Market, Design & Build, Manage & Operate, Live & Work. Como solo puede haber un ganador, todos los ganadores de las subcategorías se enfrentarán para determinar al ganador final.

“Es el motivo por el cual lanzamos la iniciativa EU Proptech House el 19 de septiembre de 2018. Sus objetivos principales son promover los contactos con la Comisión Europea y el Consejo Europeo de Innovación, extender la colaboración transfronteriza y facilitar el acceso a la financiación de la UE” afirma Idriss Googgens, miembro fundador de la junta directiva de EU PropTech House.

“El lanzamiento del primer PropTech Startup Europe Awards es una clara señal de reconocimiento por parte de la Comisión Europea de la importancia y el enorme potencial de la innovadora industria PropTech en la remodelación del sector inmobiliario. Workeroha obtenido el Sello de  Excelencide la Comisión Europea y ha sido aceptado recientemente en el amplio Programa Horizonte 2020, Instrumento PYME para la financiación por parte de la Comisión Europea, sabemos lo importante que es ser reconocidos y obtener apoyo”, concluye Dirk Paelinck, CEO de Workero.

Todas las startups PropTech europeas están invitadas a presentar su candidatura entre el 17 de septiembre y el 30 de noviembreen la página web de EU PropTech House (http://proptechhouse.eu). Un jurado profesional calificará los proyectos en cada una de las categorías. El jurado está compuesto por expertos de la industria de toda Europa y por miembros de la junta directiva de Proptech House. Los procedimientos de evaluación durarán hasta el 15 de enero de 2019.

Las 50 startups preseleccionadas (10 por categoría) serán invitadas a una sesión en directo el 20 y el 21 de febrero de 2019 en Bruselas, en presencia de los miembros de la junta, el representante del Comisario Europeo y todos los miembros del jurado. La ceremonia de entrega de premios se celebrará en el segundo trimestre de 2019 en presencia de representantes de la Comisión Europea.

StartUp Europe Awards forma parte de StartUp Europe y es una iniciativa de la Comisión Europea y la Fundación Finnova, apoyada por el presidente del Parlamento Europeo, el presidente del Comité de las Regiones, el vicepresidente del Comité Económico y Social y otros miembros del Parlamento Europeo. SEUA cuenta con el apoyo de StartUp Europe Accelerator de la Fundación Finnova.

Todos estos proyectos forman parte de StartUp Europe de la Comisión Europea, que conecta ecosistemas de startups por toda Europa para ayudar a las empresas encontrando empleados cualificados en cualquier lugar de la UE, accediendo así a la combinación adecuada de financiación de la Unión Europea y creciendo más allá de las fronteras de su comunidad o país.

La organización de PropTech Europe Awards será llevada a cabo por la fundación Finnova, Workeroy la reciente EU PropTech House. La misión de EU PropTech House consiste en apoyar un mercado PropTech europeo sostenible y crear un impacto positivo en el entorno de vida europeo y más allá. Los objetivos serán facilitar el acceso a la financiación de la UE, ampliar las colaboraciones transfronterizas, estandarizar y uniformizar los mercados PropTech europeos, crear un marco jurídico adaptado al PropTech y fomentar las innovaciones en el sector inmobiliario.

La EU PropTech House cuenta con el apoyo de socios tales como Finnova (Profesor Juanma Revuelta), Workero (Dirk Paelinck)y las asociaciones PropTech nacionales o regionales en Europa, junto con un consejo asesor encabezado por Idriss Goossens, miembro fundador, y compuesto por PropTech Poland, PropTech NL, PropTech South East Europe, Finnovating (España) and PropTech Lab (Bélgica),además de otras 7 asociaciones nacionales PropTech que se encuentran actualmente en proceso de añadirse.

Dirk Paelinck, CEO of Workero, officially launched the brand new PropTech StartUp Europe Awards 2018 for the European Commission in his closing speech at the PropTech gathering in Berlin @ Future: PropTech Berlin, Sept 13th 2018.

With over 40 C-level speakers and more than 400 high-profile participants, Future: PropTech Berlin was the perfect platform to announce this initiative.

In almost every European country, one or more PropTech networks are active that stimulate all the new startups and scaleups in the field of digital innovation and disruptive transformation in the real estate sector.

In order for the European PropTech economy to get to the next level, steps need to be taken towards a uniform market, the scaling up of cross-border collaboration and the establishment of a regulatory framework to foster innovation on a European level.

The PropTech StartUp Europe Awards of the European Commission is the first European initiative to give visibility and support to the most promising startups in innovation in real estate.

It will be followed on September 19th 2018 by the launch of the EU PropTech House.

The Proptech StartUp Europe Awards is a brand new category within the StartUp Europe Awards’ framework (22 categories), promoted by the European Commission in collaboration with Finnova Foundation, which presents a prize methodology for startups at local, regional and national level, fostering the open innovation and the collaboration between the different actors of the European ecosystems, through the private-public partnership supporting new entrepreneurs. At the same time it creates a network of contacts that will provide visibility to all the local startups who, by using this network, will be able to scale their services and products at a European and even global level. On its behalf, Finnova is an European foundation based in Belgium, Romania, Panama, Chile and Mexico devoted to the promotion of start-ups and innovative initiatives for the collaboration between public and private entities relying on the tools offered by the European Union.

Professor Juanma Revuelta (Finnova Foundation):“Finnova, through the Startup Europe Accelerator, is willing to provide information and orientation to Startups providing disruptive innovations in the Proptech field as well as to the potential users of that innovation, such as big enterprises, Real State or the public sector seeking to innovate their management to reduce costs and improve their competitiveness”.

The PropTech StartUp Europe Awards 2018 will have 5 subcategories: Invest, Market, Design & Build, Manage & Operate, Live & Work. As there can only be one winner, all the subcategory winners will go head-to-head to determine the overall winner.

That is why we launch the EU Proptech House initiative on September 19th 2018. Its first goals are promoting contacts with the EU Commission and the European Innovation Council, scale up cross-border collaboration and facilitate access to EU Funding.”

All European PropTech startups are invited to submit their case between September 17th and November 30th on the website of EU PropTech House (http://www.proptechhouse.eu) Our professional jury will rate the projects in every respective category. The jury is composed of industry experts from across Europe and of the board members of Proptech House. Judging procedures will run until Jan 15th 2019.

The 50 shortlisted startups (10 per category) will be invited to a live-pitch session on February 20th and 21st 2019 in Brussels, in the presence of the board members, the Representative of the European Commissioner and all the jury members. The ceremony for the Awards will be held in Q2 2019 in the presence of representative of the European Commission.

All StartUp Europe Awards are part of StartUp Europe, an initiative of the European Commission and the Finnova Foundation, supported by the President of the European Parliament, the President of the Committee of the Regions, the Vice-President of the Economic and Social Committee and several members from the European Parliament. SEUA is supported by the StartUp Europe Accelerator of the Finnova Foundation.

All these projects are part of StartUp Europe from European Commission, which connects startup ecosystems throughout Europe to help companies by finding skilled employees wherever they are in the EU, accessing to the right combination of European Union finance and growing beyond the frontiers of their community or country.

The organisation of the PropTech StartUp Europe Awards will be handled by Finnova Foundation, Workero and the brand new EU PropTech House. The mission of the EU PropTech House is to support sustainable European PropTech market and to create positive impact on the European living environment and beyond. The objectives will be to facilitate access to EUFunding, scale-upcross-bordercollaborations, to standardize and uniformize the European PropTech markets, and to create a legal framework adapted to the PropTech, and fostering innovations in Real Estate.

The EU PropTech House enjoys the support of partners such as Finnova (Professor Manuel Revuelta)Workero (Dirk Paelinck) and the national or area PropTech associations in Europe, together with an advisory board headed by Idriss Goossens, founding board member and composed of PropTech Poland, PropTech NL, PropTech South East Europe, Finnovating (Spain) and PropTech Lab (Belgium), while 7 other national PropTech associations are in the process of on boarding now.
